Tawny Owl. This delightful little character is the one we hear in Britain, usually from afar, giving away its whereabouts with that unmistakable ‘hoot.’ The contrasting mottled plumage presented quite a challenge and meant many hours and many different weights of pencil to get right. It was worth it though.
