Great Grey Owl. One of the worlds largest owls, this huge ball of feathers locates prey beneath snow by hearing, then plunges through the surface to catch it. Coming face to face with this bright eyed and rather bushy fellow had me pausing momentarily in expectation that it might actually say something.
