STAGE 3.

I can now see if I have managed to set the eye at the right depth and if it is sitting nicely in the face. If it isn’t it would simply be a case of adding contrast or shading to either brighten it or set it deeper into the face.

Now I have the full face, which may or may not need additional depth and detail, I’ll only know this when I have much more of the image completed, I have the problem of blending this in to the main image. Up until now, the image has been made up of little sections, which I have been able to work separately to some degree. Now, however, these all have to be expanded into the one main body tone and structure. One of the difficulties lies in the angles at which the image will need to continue. I need to take the image continuation up and over the head, out horizontally level with the eye, then continue the angles as I come down to the throat.
