The
images shown
here are a
selection
of works which
have either
been commissioned
privately
or for use
in literature
such as magazines
or books.
A rough price
guide for
anyone considering
commissioning
a portrait
is that they
start at around
£475 and increase
dependent
upon complexity.
A rough guide
is to add
around £200
for each additional
item or person.
The usual
format is
for the image
to be around
300mm x 200mm
on a paper
size of A3.
This is the
norm and not
the rule.
Portraits
of old have
actually been
done life
size. However,
the cost of
this is understandably
quite high,
but, it has
to be said
extremely
effective
and particularly
striking.
An additional
point worth
noting is
that it is
fairly normal
now for people
who commission
portraits
of either
people or
animals to
order one
or two replica
prints also.
This means
that Granny
and Grandad
get a copy
too.
